2: LEARN HOW TO DRIVE
We would like to remind you that India has a high rate of accidents
in the world with over 17 kinds of road users travelling at different
speeds. A major reason is the lack of responsibility, skill and
knowledge of the drivers.
Take your time in learning, and don’t be in a hurry to get
your driving license. As, with all skills, driving requires experience
to reach perfection. The more time you put in behind the wheel, the
better and safer you will be on the road.
As per Law driving schools have to give about 21 days of driving
training, of which at least 10 hours have to be training behind the
wheel. For transport drivers, the period is 30 days with 15 hours
of actual driving. But remember, different individuals take different
lengths of time to reach the same level of learning.
Till you have
the confidence that you can drive well under all conditions and
can manoeuvre your vehicle in crowded areas, park in narrow spaces,
drive
and start on slopes, keep at it.
