or written test on road signs and rules of the road as well as

What exactly does this licence entitle you to ?
It allows you to learn to drive with a regular and experienced driver
of your choice. If you want to drive a motor car or a two-wheeler,
this would have to be along with a friend, relative or an instructor
of a driving school as long as he/she holds a valid driving licence.
We would recommend the last. But, be careful to pick on an instructor
from a school recognised by the Transport Department.
If you want
to become a professional driver and drive commercial, passenger
or goods vehicles, you will have to be trained at a driving
school duly recognised by the Transport Department.
